New Defence Public Hr. Sec. School · Agra
For nearly three decades, families in Shahganj have trusted us with something precious — the years in which a child becomes a person. This is that story.
The story so far
19961996
New Defence Public School opened its doors in Raghuvirpuram, Shahganj with a simple belief: that discipline and kindness are not opposites, and that every child — given structure and attention — can do remarkable things.
The ethos
Our classrooms are calm and purposeful. Rigour in academics sits beside respect, punctuality and service — the quiet habits that shape character long after the final bell.
Today
Today the school is known across Agra for its discipline, its results and its warmth — the kind of place parents recommend to one another, and students remember long after they leave.
01
Nearly three decades
Of uninterrupted teaching and care in the heart of Agra.
02
Consistent board results
A steady record of distinction in board examinations, year on year.
03
Dedicated faculty
Qualified teachers who know every student by name — and by potential.
The school is guided by a leadership team that has stayed close to the classroom for decades. In their own words.
Our academic framework balances theory with practice, and examination with encouragement — a curriculum built for understanding, not just for marks.
A curriculum that follows Central Board guidelines, so every child is measured against a national benchmark.
Cognitive, social and emotional development given equal care through integrated learning paths.
Concepts tested in the real world through projects, models and problem-solving.
Quizzes, group discussion and oral tests that build confidence as much as recall.
01Quiet reading rooms and a growing collection for every age.
02Physics, chemistry and biology taught at the bench, not just the board.
03Interactive boards and digital resources in everyday lessons.
04Hands-on computing and digital literacy from the early years.
05Open ground for athletics, drills, games and assembly.
06Space for art, music, craft and the co-curricular life of the school.
07School buses covering the neighbourhoods our families live in.
Celebrations, ceremonies and notices from the school office — updated by our staff as the year unfolds.
